Through the expansion of programmatic offerings from Microsoft and AppNexus, this last became exclusive technology partner of Microsoft for sales in Bolivia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Paraguay, Uruguay and Venezuela. Now, AppNexus represent exclusively and will be the platform of tech ads (programmatic) for viewing Microsoft and inventory-based applications on MSN, Outlook, Skype and Xbox ads and other manufacturers of phones and Windows applications and Xbox within those markets. Pan regional direct sales and all local markets except Brazil, which is carried out by AOL, and Mexico (Prodigy / MSN) will be assumed by Medula Network. The pan-regional  direct sales team from Microsoft Advertising will be placed out of the market, handing off the sales to Medula team. AppNexus will work with the local sales units of Medula Network to direct the Microsoft ad inventory in Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and pan-regional outside Miami. In June AppNexus bought Real Media Latin America as part of its expansion efforts in the region.
